The Advanced Open Water Course is a diving certification program designed for divers who have already completed an open water diving course and want to expand their diving skills and knowledge. It typically consists of five dives, which may include deep diving, navigation, buoyancy control, and other specialty dives. During the course, divers will learn more advanced diving techniques and practices, and will have the opportunity to explore new dive sites and environments. Upon completion of the course, divers will be certified as Advanced Open Water divers and will be able to dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters under the supervision of a dive professiona.

You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives from the many options: Deep, Digital Underwater Photography, Dive Against Debris, Dry Suit, Enriched Air Nitrox, Fish Identification, Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search & Recovery, Underwater Naturalist, Underwater Navigation, and Wreck Diver.

During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.
