The Enriched Air Nitrox Diver Course, also known as the PADI Nitrox Diver course, is a diving certification program that teaches divers how to safely use enriched air (also known as nitrox) while diving. Nitrox is a type of breathing gas that contains a higher percentage of oxygen than regular air, which can offer several benefits to divers. By using nitrox, divers can stay underwater for longer periods of time, reduce their risk of decompression sickness, and experience less fatigue after diving.
During the Enriched Air Nitrox Diver Course, divers will learn about the properties and benefits of nitrox, as well as how to safely plan and execute dives using enriched air. They will also learn about the proper handling, storage, and labeling of nitrox tanks, as well as how to analyze the oxygen content of nitrox mixes. Upon completion of the course, divers will be certified as PADI Nitrox Divers and will be able to use enriched air when diving, as long as they follow proper diving procedures and guidelines.
